Hi,
I have a banjo with a broken neck. I did my best to fix it with apoxy, but the intonation is still off (a lot more than even this cheap banjo's should be). It seems to me it would be the neck since I've got it set up pretty well.
Does anyone have a fretted neck they'd sell?
I'm looking for something pretty cheap. I only paid $25 dollars for the banjo. You can see I'm on a small budget, so I'm looking for something used.

Hey John, I have a 5 string Franciscan banjo in a hard shell case I'll ship to you for $125.00. Sounds and plays good, I don't ever get it out, don't know how to play it....Ron |

Josh....setting the intonation on a banjo is a simple matter of moving the bridge either forward or back until it intonates properly. Once you have it set, trace two lines on the edges of the bridge feet (on the side facing the tailpiece). This will enable you to exactly reposition the bridge after changing strings....FWIW..The method I use is to fret the first string at the seventeenth fret, it should then sound in tune with the fifth string at this point. |
