OK Sacramento area steelers, here's your chance to see not one, but two grey haired pedal steel guitar players.... all for an absurdly low price. The Fox and Goose (10th and R st, downtown Sacramento, CA) is the place, this Friday evening (2-10-06), starting at 9:00.

I will be appearing with Amee Chapman and the Big Finish, followed by Chris Ivey with Sticky Vikki and the Pine Cones. The evening of music will begin with the exciting new band The Good Mornings (no steel yet, but give them time).

So that's why my gig there with the Bottom Dwellers fell through! Have a great show and tell Chris I said hello.

Add another "hey" to Mr Ivey for me from "the other Chris".
For that matter, say hi to the Fox and Goose for me, too. I always liked playing in there.[This message was edited by Chris Bauer on 08 February 2006 at 02:46 PM.] |

I played at a Sacramento Western Swing gig with a fiddler and a tele picker from the Stardust Cowboys. I don't remember either of their names but they were just the best pickers you could ever wanna be on stage with. I hope I get to hear 'em again. Have a fun one David!! |

Hey Billy, sorry for the late reply, too much work at work (something has to be done about that ).
The "Cowboys" were most likely Bobby Woods on Tele, and Ronnie Elkins on Fiddle, and they are long time good buddies as well.
Saw Gary Cambell (Head "Stardust Cowboy")at the gig last night, and he mentioned they have another Western Swing soc. gig in June... I'll post it on the forum.
