67 kg? That must be lbs! = 30 kg, which sounds more reasonable. |

Very heavy. I had one for 30 years , now I need a spine operation, The Nashville 112 or a Peavey special 130 will do just as good a job.. |

In the photo, under "Session 400", you can read "LIMITED". So this is the newer Session 400 Limited, not the original Session 400 from the 1970s. The old Session 400s had some reliability problems but tended to sound very good. On the other hand I could never get a good sound from the Session 400 Limited. |

No positives from me sorry, i have to agree that the original session 400 sounded much better, and i believe the peavey nashville 112 would be a much better purchase, they come up for sale on the british steelies forum from time to time, or gerry hogan usually stocks them, and ted nesbitt just over the water from you in Northern Ireland, thats my honest opinion, i never liked the session 400 limited _________________ There are no strangers, only friends you have yet to meet |

This was and is a great steel amp. Used should go for about 350 pounds. You might want to watch out for a Fender "Steel King" Good bang for you buck (or pound) But might be easy to find. _________________ Politics:Just vote .79' Sho-Bud "Super Pro"Webb,Fender Steel King, |

Cheers Dave. Most steel amps in the UK new are anywhere between £550-£700,and second hand ones are as rare as hens teeth.Think I got a bargain, will play the life out of it!Lots of POWER!for the first time ever, finally get to cut over the band! |

Considering the Session 400 and Session are 25 years plus old, they will have to be maintained periodically. There isn't an amp earth that doesn't require maintenance, tube or solid state. If there is one that hasn't needed maintenance, it will eventually. Overall, all of the Peavey steel guitar amplifier models manufactured since 1974 have been successful for us.
