Hi all,
Due to some ongoing medical issues I am finding it too hard to lug around my Sho~Bud D-10 so I am close to pulling the trigger on a light weight GFI Expo X1
anyone out there have one of these newer models yet that can give me the thumbs up?
my first steel was a GFI and I was more than pleased with it. Thanks. _________________ Twang to the bone! |

I bought one new just a few weeks ago, for similar reasons. I thought I would have to "settle" for inferior tone and playability in return for the 26 lbs...but I was astonished by both the tone and playability. Very nice. Don't wait. My back feels better already. I also downsized from the Nashville 1000 to the 112.

I got a new SD-10 Expo X-1 this summer. Bought if for flying gigs. My subjective experiences so far:
+ : Leight weight - no over weight when flying. Sounds good (but the Push/Pull and Hybrid sounds better in my ears). Nice pedal action. Stays in tune. Inexpencive.
- : Due to the weight it moves around a bit when enganging RK levers. The case is not solid enough for flying. The guitar is not as solid built as a Zum, and the playing "comfort" can not compare to a Zum. Had some bad experienses with the changer when the guitar had gone through the abuse at an airport. _________________ Emmons D-10 P/P 78", Franklin D-10, Zum Encore. Sho-Bud LDG |
