Aloha,
Found this a few days ago on EBay, put in my bid, and lo and behold...I won. I have been looking for an 8 with legs for a little while to use as my main stage steel, (I currently use a Supro single 6...which I really love) but couldn't afford the one I really wanted. Pricewise I think I think I did well....any opinions on price and the guitar itself?

Congratulations, David. That should be a great guitar if everything works as expected, and you got it at a very good price.

Parts to build a decent console would cost you more than that...Way to go!

Very cool, David -- and a great price, too -- much less than I paid a few years ago for the 6-string version. These Supros play and sound great (plus they look really cool). That's an outstanding deal.

Damn, you got that at a helluva good price! I think it might have gotten overlooked with everybody so busy shopping over the weekend. If you have any problems with the pickup (weak magnet or weak windings) check with Jason Lollar- he can recharge the magnets or rewind the coils if needed.

I was bidding on a Supro 6 stringer with legs a few months ago and I thought I had won it with my maximum bid of $355 but somebody swooped in at the last minute and topped my bid. Darn!

Great deal David. I've got one exactly like that one - same year even, 1960. I think you're going to really be happy with it. I wouldn't sell mine for anything near that price. Good luck with it.
