Bishop Ronnie Hall : A fine rendition, indeed of our Dear Red Foley's great number, loved by so many, the world over. Red was such a fine god loving man, as we know you are, Bishop.. It is such a grand thing that the lord has bestowed upon you the gift of music, which is certainly appreciated by all your admirers on the SGF and the country over.. thanks for sharing your abilities on the lovely Steel Guitar.. In his name, we pray.. May our good lord be with you today, and always..Bernie _________________ 2007 Zum S-10; 1967 Sho-Bud [ D-10 ]; 85 S-10 Sierra; 1953 Multi-Kord [ 6 String- 4 pedals ] A Sho-Bro six String Resonator Guitar; Nashville 112 Amp; hilton Vol. Pedal |

I realise that you posted this a year and a half ago, but I've been going back over your old postings to hear more of your work.
A marvellous arrangement of a number which has been done by so many people over the years. I have to confess that I always associate the song with Elvis Presley, who I learned it from. Believe it or not, one of his earliest disappointments was that he was turned down by a gospel group... they said he couldn't sing. His greatest love was gospel music, and they say that after a studio session he would sit at the piano and start singing gospel songs, everyone else would join in, and they would be singing all night just for the joy of it. |

That took my breath, Bishop! Tone and intonation, and one of my Dad's favorite songs. Thanks! |

Hi Stephen (Gambrell)
Sorry I could`nt respond right away to your encouraging comment, because for some reason, I had become overwhelmed, by the sudden surge of e-mails in my in box! Private messages, requests for DVDs/CDs and other etc. And I was just not able there for a while to respond. So I apologize for the delay, But, "Thank you", my friend for your encouragement. Sometime or another, I`ve got to take the time and find out why this thing about "tone", is so central to what we do, when we play! For what ever the reason, I`m just glad it makes somebody happy!
Be blessed my friend,
Ron (Bishop Hall) _________________ Goldensacredstrings
