Tommy , You could try Radio Shack , they have all types of cassette recorders that have a built in mike . I use one that was real cheap and it does the trick for home practice !! Or maybe try a local hock shop !! Unless you are looking for high quality then the price goes way up !!! Good luck !! the old geezer = A.K.A. Eddie "C"

I have a Sony DTC-750 digital audio tape recorder that cost $1500 new. I'll sell it for $100 including a box of DAT tapes. It's heavy; you pay shipping.

I went to wal mart and bought a sony digital
voice recorder for 49.95
has a built in mic
this thing does a great job of live recording
has a phone plug 1/8 out stereo and has on board speaker I plug it into my sound system
and it sounds darn good!!
it fits in my shirt pocket no one knows I have it on Mike Very Happy

office depot has it too 44.95
just type in "sony digital voice recorder"

The Zoom H2 and H4n recorders have a lot of satisfied users...and they're portable for live recording. I have an H4n, and it's great. $200-$300, cheaper on eBay.
