Topic: Looking for a Set of Tele Pickups |

| Just traded with a forum member for a Peavey Reactor AX and I would like to change the pickups to something more "Tele traditional". Would appreciate any thoughts/opinions on what might be a good choice. Cheers. [/b] |

| Al, I'm a fan of Fralin and Duncan pickups (especially their variations on P90s and humbuckers) but don't have much experience with their Tele pickups. Personally, for a Tele-style guitar I'd go with a true single coil (rather than humbucker) but would just make sure the pickup cavity is properly shielded. Bill |

I went to my local Guitar Center and bought a set of Fender "Vintage Nocaster" pickups and they sound great. Just remember all the great Tele sounds that we all aspire to (James Burton, Roy Nichols, Roy Buchanan, etc) didn't come from Fralin, Seymore Duncan or any of those guys, they came from Fender (the original) and IMHO still the best!....JH in Va.
