I am wondering , what the resistance SHOULD be on a SHO-BUD Maverick , it has low volume , & the strings are plenty close to the pickup . I am guessing it is early 70's , I can supply the serial no. , & what it reads ,as soon as I walk out to the Studio , but it is slushing or some strange mixture of freezing precipitation at the moment . Thanks , Billy Lee Fraser _________________ Billy Lee ,Pro-II,, Session 400,Session 500 , Supro , National, SpeedDemons,& too many Archtops & Stratotones.Lots of vintage parts for Kay ! etc. |

Bill, about 17,5K is ideal for a shobud. The mavs had the same pup the pro models had. Jerry Wallace can rewind yours, or I have some fresh shobud rewinds I can sell + exchange for yours to get you going, to save you time. email me at shobud@windstream.net if you want. _________________ "Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement"~old cowboy proverb.
