Here's another guitar that I never play so it may as well to to a new home. It is old and well worn. When I got it, it had been damaged in the end block area where the tailpiece attaches, so I had to replace some of the wood on the top, and reinforce the end block area. It is very stable, and probably better than it was when new. The new wood is a slightly different color than the rest of the top, but is not extremely different. The rest of the top has a lot of characteristic finish cracks and various chips as most of these old guitars have.
It had a new Quarterman cone, and a new resonator cover when I got it, so it has been played very little since they were installed. The hand guard over the bridge was missing when I got it, but I didn't miss it, it makes it easier to mute the strings. The fretboard was pretty scratched up when I got it, and there haven't been any replacements available for years, so I did some hand touch up on it, but you have to look closely to tell. These guitars have a larger body than most resonator guitars and have a little deeper sound, which sounds very good in my opinion, not quite so screechy. The back in in good condition, with only a few paint chips here and there.
The case is well used and is missing one of the latches, but it is original and serviceable.
In the picture of the back of the headstock, it looks like a crack running down the center of the headstock but it isn't. The neck is made of two pieces, and the finish dipped a little at the joint. The neck seam is tight, with no separation.
I need $700 plus shipping for it, and I will take Paypal and absorb the fee.

Darvin....
That case looks identical to my Gretsch case.If indeed it has the "G" name plate on it ,the case alone is worth a good amount of $$$$, or at least was offered to me to complete a vintage guitar deal .
Nice piece of history. Good luck with sale.

Larry, I got your message and replied.
Bob, that is a Gretsch case, the nameplate says Gretsch on it. _________________ Darvin Willhoite

Darvin....
I was offered almost $300 for my case to finish a deal on a CountryGentlemen ,I believe.Altho my case is marginally better , I think the guy was looney.
I got the case in December 1974 with a sunburst VOX SuperLynx , which I still have.
thanks for sharing great pix with us & good luck on sale .
