I'm up here from Texas visiting our daughter, her husband, and our grandbaby. I was curious if there was anything steelwise happening around here. I'll be here all week.

Steve I agree. Go by Bud Halls place it is just north of town off of 41a at baseline road turn to the east about a mile. You will enjoy him and don't let the overalls fool you he is a great player.

Steve,
Why don't you come down to Morgantown KY friday night 12/23/05. I'll be playing Steel at the "Boogie Barn" starting at 8pm. Morgantown is about a (1 hr & 10 min) drive from Evansville. I'd love to meet you. They don't sell Beer at the Barn but I'll buy you a Coke! Nick

Steve;
I have to agree with the guys about mr. Hall.He is an excellent steel man and a fun guy to get to know. One thing, he does kind of tend to stretch his big time hunting stories. He is also the man that tried hard to teach me to play back in the seventies. He's very easy to find, go North on hwy. 41 about 8 miles out of e-ville. Watch for Baseline Rd. on the right. He will be about 1/2 mile on the right (big sign)

Steve,

Do call Bud Hall. There are several of us steelers in the area an he sometimes knows who might be playing. 812-867-3569. If you get a chance to hear Bud play, you'll enjoy it.

As for me, I have the week and the weekend off from steeling. I won't be back at it until New Year's. However, if you just want to chat or come visit, give me a call at 479-1655. I know I'm at home tonight and Wednesday night.

Best Wishes
Tony

Darn... I ran out to Bud Halls about noon today but there was no one around and his phone just goes to an answering machine.

Had a very nice visit with Bud. He plays the Day setup on a S-11. I'm going to go back at least once this saturday. Rex, I got quite the laugh over the Clay "getting a doublewide" story. My son and his grandpa rescued Clay and his father in law a few years back off Galveston Island. They helped them get back into shore after a malfunction. Josh (my stepson) still runs into Clay and talks fishing.
