Hi.
I was thinking on putting my Maverick 3+1 in C6 tuning.
Anyone done such a thing?
And, does that make sense anyway?
Because, since the changer is an all-pull, I would miss out on the half-step down change on pedals B and C (#5 and 6 on a D10) |

Forget the pedals, tune it to non-pedal C6th,at least it will stay in tune that way. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. BAMA CHARLIE. GOD BLESS AMERICA. ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST. SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC ! |

finally done it, installed a reverse mechanism using roller-skate wheels. Could you believe it... it works like a charm and stays in tune! But I still regard it a learning setup, not a road-ready piece if gear.
Here some pics and the copedent:
I'm missing out on the high C to D raise, that's because with the Mav's changer I can't have a lower and a raise on the same string.
The usual raises on strings 9 and 10 are left out but I can install them if I want them later on.
What do you think? Comments welcome

That's slick. Red Green would be proud. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Clever means of reversing cables for a pull-release guitar. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

the three main types of changers most of us deal with are:
all-pull, push-pull, and pull-release.
the maverick is a 'pull-release' changer. |
