Would like to find or make a repro of this version of the Magnatone decal:

I saw some earlier discussion along the same lines. Anyone ever come up with one? If not, anyone out there who's got a guitar with this decal in good shape who'd be willing to take a hi-res close up digital photo and pass it along? Thanks.

...hussle up a small batch and sell some, as well as some T-shirts screened with the Mag logo. Make a little side $ and some Maggie freaks happy!

Let's do it! All we need is a straight, well-lit, hi-res photo...

If you have a good picture, you can probably have it duplicated at a place called “Signs First”. Even if you can draw it up with the proper measurements.

Hi Doug,
I know this is an old post....
I picked up a walnut G-70 last night and the decal is in great condition....did you ever get a hi-res shot of it?
I can do it if you still need it.

Jay

Thanks, Jay, but don't really need it at this point (though a Magnatone T-shirt would be cool). Congratulations on your purchase. Is it a six or an eight-string? I think the wood finish guitars are actually G65 and the pearloid ones are G70. In any event they are great guitars. I have the blonde (ash) one and it easily rates among the best sounding lap steels I've had. Very big sound.

Revisiting this subject. Anyone have a MOTS Magnatone lap steel, a Varsity model I guess it is, with this decal on it? Would like to get an end-to-end length measurement on it. Many thanks.

Yes, I still have the small size in silver (2-1/16" long for the smaller MOTS lap steels), and the large size in both silver and gold (2-7/8" long, e.g. for the G65 model). Send me a private message if interested. Thanks, Doug
