Roy Linder died after a lengthly battle with cancer, two days shy of his 72nd birthday.
Roy was a singer with several bands during the 60's and 70's. He had the voice that many observed was a combination of Farron Young's and Ray Price's only better. (My observation).

His visitation and service will be friday and saturday in Mattoon IL. I will update when and where.

Lyle...
This is sad news, indeed. I had the pleasure of working many jobs with Roy back in the day, and he was an exceptional vocalist, and a good guy to boot. We will miss him...rest in peace, old buddy.
