I've seen pics of older Sho-Bud's
that were originally blue and they fade
to green over time. Just curious if this
is the case with this guitar.

I think its a beautifull guitar.

The finish is a stained maple in green. It was definitely made as green, not blue. Here's a better picture with a different camera.

I put a blue t-shirt in the picture for reference.

Both necks have beautiful "birdseye" detail in the maple. You can see a hint of it on the front of the steel in this picture.

Honestly Amy, I do. Shocked
But alas, I must tend to the home studio "animal". Oh Well
I might be on the lookout for a fairly loaded student model someday, but not anytime soon.
Keep up the good work. Wink Always good to see you on here.
My best wishes to your mom & dad.

I will, Rex!

Please keep us in mind when you are ready to get your student model. Besides the new GFIs, we always try to snag as many Mavericks and other used/vintage higher-end students as we can find.

Take care! Very Happy

Hey Amy.

I'm interested if you know how the knee levers work, meaning which strings on which neck do they raise or lower. The reason I ask is everybody says if you get an old guitar like this be sure it is set up in a way you can use since modifying them on you own is not quite as cut and dry as on newer guitars.

Since there has not been any activity on this thread for a bit you may not even still have it. 8 and 6 right?

thanks
AW Dickerson

I saw it yesterday (saturday) Amy had it then.
I know the LL Knee lever raises the E's, the RL lowers E's typical Sho Bud,I think the RR lever lowers 2&9. Nice clean guitar

Thanks Bill!

Arthur: From what I understand, the steel is in standard Emmons set-up. Beyond that, I would need Bill or another local player to answer more involved questions!

Hopefully Bill's report told you what you needed to know! If not, contact again and I'll ask our steel teacher to help me answer! Very Happy

Thanks!
-Amy

Bill,

Thanks for the info. It sounds like you have a good opinion of the guitar. I think I'll probably need to bug Amy for info on the remaining knee and vertical levers. But I do appreciate you taking the time to fill me in.

Thanks

Hey Amy,

Is it ok if I call you at the number you listed earlier in the thread? I just need to find out what the other two knee levers and the vertical lever do. Or you can find out and post it here if you would rather.

Thanks
