vintage guitar/amp stores in san francisco area?

hello again, i'm in melbourne australia but will be playing some gigs in san francisco, santa cruz and san jose in october. would really appreciate recommendations for stores in those areas for vintage amplifiers/lap steels/boutique pedals etc....i'm hoping to pick up a fender bassman 50 head (blackface) while i'm there as they're much cheaper in the states! or perhaps a gibson eh-150 amp which i've been trying to find ! thanks for reading this...

Try Real Guitars in San Francisco itself. You might get luckier at Subway Guitars in Berkeley - even if you don't, it's a great place to check out weird guitar stuff.
In Marin County, Schoenburg Guitars may have a line on something.

Santa Cruz has Sylvan Music, a great guitar store in my opinion.

Here's a 1967 Fender Bassman currently on sfbay.craigslist.org. It's not exactly what you seek, but it should be pretty nice. Keep an eye on craigslist - you may find what you want.

Guitar Showcase in San Jose usually has a decent vintage amp selection.
