Tony, along with here on the Forum, check out: www.reso-nation.com

All dobros, all the time.

Does Dobro with a capital D refer specifically to the Dobro brand only, or is any resonator guitar maker up for consideration?

Hey Mark....I have a Benoit already...I'm just looking for a good back up. I played an old 70ish OMI Dobro the other day and fell in love with it. So, I'd like to get a Dobro brand I think.

Yeah Tony, I noticed the signoff on the bottom of your post re Benoit.

There are some very good OMI Dobros out there and some not-so-very-good, and the one Wade has for sale looks very, very good.

Hi Tony, Been watching your post. No matter what pre war Dobro or OMI I seem to take a liking to, there is always something better out there! So I'm told, No doubt about it, there are GREAT sounding resonator guitars out there. I have a sweetheart of an OMI built in 1973 by Don Young, a model 66, that you couldn't get away from me for all , or only for a couple of D28 Martins out there. Don't sell the pre war Dobros or Regals short. Don't forget, this is where the sound began . For some reason, according to opinions here, my pre war Dobros are worthless AFATC. Nothing is better than a pre war with an original spider and resonator in MHOP. Good Luck, Jay Y.

I've never seen opinions here that pre=wars are worthless, you'll have to give me a clue as to where to find them.
