If you've got the time and a mind to do so, I'd enjoy knowing that you looked-in on RAY'S CD's page of the Jerry Byrd Fan Club.

Just posted "a famiiar tune".......... I know it won't match up to the really stellar performance you shared with all of us on the Forum, on your 9 1/2 string GIBSON Delight, or whatever it was.

I've always loved this song...........as recorded by the APOLLO 100... and proclaimed I'd do it one day, myself.

But, as usual, YOU beat me to it. I did enjoy your version immensley. You displayed a log of creativity.

Skipper, I liked it so much I put it in a more accessible place.
Click HERE to play your version, if you download it you'll see I've added some tags to the mp3 description.

What Guitar did you use ? on my version I didn't play a 9 1/2 string GIBSON Delight I played a 16 string "Lapolin" made by Alan Brookes. All the notes were in octaves as that's how the guitar is strung.

Chopin's Tristesse Opus 10 No.3 on the Brooksaphone or is it a "Lapolin" (K.Ufton's name)
If anyone wants the Rhythm Track it's here rythmn Track, but only for "Non Commercial Use" It is all my own work but feel free to use it on projects etc..gigs even, limited run PRIVATE Cd's. No Problem you all have my permission,
Chopin can't be contacted at this point in time but take it as a "Given" that he doesn't mind. If he does then we'll acknowledge his post..

Yes Doug that WAS me, it's no longer there, I don't think I'm popular with the powers that be on that site or the Steel guitar Network.

We're Hi-jacking Ray's post so I'll reiterate:-

Chopin's Tristesse Opus 10 No.3 very nicely played Ray and as for the copyright,

Basil..........I knew your g'tar wasn't a Gibson but try as I may, I could not locate your post and thus could not recall the details about your instrument.

I KNEW you'd bring all of us up-to-date about the guitar and ALAN's extraordinary craftsmanship in building that remarkable stringed beauty. Alan's passion seems to be building stringed wonders....... and a beautiful job he does.

Thanks too, Basil, for all of the additional names of that tune. I appreciate that very much.

THANKS even further for posting it here on the FORUM. Most kind of you too.......

Thanks too to for "Johnson" for allowing me to post this item via her site.

Life is indeed beautiful! (more on this a little later)

Basil, really loved your playing on that gorgeous classic. I tried to call up your rythmn track but was informed it "could not be found". I want to try and learn that one if I could. You play so good and it is great to hear the pretty music.
Thanks for sharing your talent with us, and especially me.

Thanks Bill, I've corrected the broken link, feel free to use the rhythm track. I made it using just my midi guitar and Logic Pro.

When you've learned it PLEASE post your version.
We all admire your playing so, and for me personally I would love to hear another approach to the tune.(Maybe Chopin would also)
