Terry Bethel president of the Ozark Steel Guitar Association along with the Statesider Band and a real good singer called Mel Tillis made an appearance at the New site of the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island Yesterday. So many of us wanted to hear some traditional country music that it caused a major traffic tie up! What a pleasure to see some REAL musicians dresseed up in Sport coats, ties ,pressed slacks and polishsed Boots Way to go Terry, Mel, and all of you Statesiders! We Loved you!! Just wish Mel could of done a second show for those that were turned away at the door The crowd was confirmed at the fire marshall capacity of 7,500 and over 1000 were turned away!

We saw him for the third time last year. Always professional and well performed. _________________ Sherman L. Willden
It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act. |
