Playing my trusty ole Stage One with Bryan Pero and the Tired Horses. Other than the band being way too loud so I couldnt hear myself at all (maybe a good thing ?) I think it went pretty well over all. At least I got my feet wet and had fun. Still waitin' on the recording and youtube video.
Whoa!

Congrats, Karen. Keep up the good work! As far as the loud band... if they don't or won't turn down, look for another band to play steel with. There are a lot of bands out there that would love to have a pedal steel player.

Put your amp on a tilt-back stand and point it at your head. You WILL hear yourself Mr. Green

Karen, you wouldn't happen to be related to Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian, would you? I understand his family hails from Massachusetts. Either way, congratulations!

My first gig was in a bar that should have had chicken wire but didn't (the bar/band scene in the movie "Roadhouse" brings back memories). Hope yours was more pleasant.
Congrats.
