Amber said on face book that she would be there Friday nite and that Sat Dickey Overbey would be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Amber plays around the area quite a bit, but seeing her with her step-father, Dickey, is truly a treat.
I hung with them three weeks ago at the Spoke in Austin, and the band and DO were in Da Zone! The band is great, and Randy Lindley is one of the most studied AND soulful guitarists in TX, IMHO.
Amber, of course, is who she is: Born to the manor of singing country music. Her father, mother, step-father, and uncle are all country music veterans and legends. What else would she be?
You will enjoy yourselves, trust me!
It seems that Scotty is bringing a hot Texas band to the show each year now, which is a good thing. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

I could have been there too. Scotty offered me a spot on the Friday night but I couldn't make it this year. Amber Digby is going too! She's my Favorite singer. You are all in for a great time. Looking forward to your SL pictures and threads from this weekend..

I'll be paying for staying up all night Friday night for a few days, but it was well worth the physical price and the 5 dollar cover charge. Had a great time listening to Amber and Dicky and friends. I was up pretty close the front and did not really pay attention to how many people were there, but it seemed the late night concert was pretty well attended. That 1966 Emmons through a Twin is a perfect setup for that type of music. I imagine Dicky would sound pretty good through just about any steel and amp setup. |
