This is great instruction for beginner players etc....on how to basically tune your steel.

I know everyone tunes different but this is a good starting point.

What a treasure Jeff was to the Steel Guitar Comunity. I took a seminar from him in AZ just a few months before his tragic accident. He was such a big influence on me and it was great to hear his voice here again. I know it has been said over and over but it still is true. There never will be another quite like him.

I like those numbers but they will not work on all steels. You must learn to tune by ear and then take the numbers for that steel. Using a chart as a bible won't work.
