What a difference a week can make..Heather Myles and Tony Booth and the Band at its best..Although it was only a 5 song show (2 for Tony and 3 for Heather)with 13 1/2 minutes of commercials, it was a quality true to it's name "Tru-Country" show..Solid Steel,Fiddle and Lead as well the entire band and Jake with super harmony on Tony's vocals..

Enjoyed the show, despite the (unfortunate) Calypso version of Via Con Dios. There were ads after every song and then some. If this continues, I think TruCountry will collapse under the weight of it's own commercials. Shocked

Barry very true, I wouldn't say Heather did Country standards but I did like the arrangements and the band seemed very comfortable doing them..Vaya Con Dios wasn't anything like the Mary Ford or Freddie Fender versions but Heather did a really nice job..I record the shows on DVR and use the commercial skip button and it's barely 15 minutes of actual music..The intro to the show and the credits eat up almost 3 minutes...But the trade off is the bands quality..

Yeah, sadly, I must admit that I agree with you guys. A lot of the Country Shows on RFD are beginning to smell of infomercials instead of shows. A couple of songs then the pitchman comes on wanting me to buy videos or pictures and such. Larry's Country Diner and Family Reunion are two that irritate me...........but, they are the only games in town. And who the hell is this Rockwell guy anyway? Whoa! A cowboy hat on him looks about as natural as a pink ribbon on a pigs tail would look. Something ain't right.

One of the BIG drawbacks of the show. I like watching it, but you know they got to pay the BILLS, for them to keep putting on.

Try watching CMT or GAC. The commercials are better entertainment than the music. Geico has some pretty good stuff. Smile

Hi Larry;
Yes RFD is on the Dish Network.
I get it on channel 231 but it may be a different channel for your area. Ron

I second that Bob V. Was channel surfing one night,saw an ad for the show that was coming up on that station,"Stay tuned for the country [LEDGENDS] show. I thought wow may see some old clips of some REAL country stars like "ET," "Marty " "Hank Snow " etc, WRONG Exclamation Their idea of ledgends are the likes of Chesney,Big and Rich,etc,I guess they are to the teeney boppers that REALLY think these artist are country ledgends. Oh well. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.
