A new tune will be playing for your listening enjoyment within the next couple of days on the JERRYBYRD-FANCLUB.com site.

This will be accessible via JERRY's MUSIC Page and highlights the great sounds Jerry was capable of producing with that olde, olde Rickenbacher Bakelite steel guitar with just 6/7 strings.

All the Forum chatter about C6th Low/High with 8-10 strings........seems such a waste once you realize what JERRY BYRD conjured up with his little bitty
Black Bakelite.

How many of you can tell what KEY he's playing in without picking up a musical instrument? That's today's challenge for you.

Don't think I've ever heard that little number before. Very nice! Nice trick endings, too. In E, of course!

Hey Mike! Yepp! "E" it is but I knew you'd get it right. Old records, yes, but so RICH in olde timey musical stuff, right?

And to the other gentleman.........
Go to the very last line on the bottom of the page "Jerry's Music"........and you'll find the song title and player there.

Hope you'll enjoy it too.

I do believe the actual title is "Stop and Go Boogie".

The group name is "The Brewster Avenue Rhythm Boys With Zeke Turner". Zeke was a wonderful guitar player.

The song was not released at the time (circa 1951-52) and came out only in the last few years on a CD.

The group name was completely contrived----the King studio was located at 1520 Brewster Avenue in Cincinnati and the players were what amounted to the house band at the time.

THANK YOU for 'NAME that TUNE"...........

I consider that a major contribution. Try as I may I could not find any reference to the title in my notes. BUT, I realize you're 100% CORRECT.

There you go folks.......... The Forum is where it is and the members are what makes it all happen.

Many thanks Mitch!
