But if you play C6, I would urge you to look at some C6 pedal books. I have found some great info in them. Improved my playing way better than any non pedal book ever did. Especially the Jeff Newman stuff. But Basic C6 by Buddy Emmons is recommended, too.

Part 1…
This two hour course takes over where 'The C6th Workshop' left off. This is a serious course for learning to play some legitimate blues & swing scales and chord progressions on the C6th, with part 1 dealing with single note "pockets" we use all over the neck, moving them around as the chords change in the tune. Part 1 deals with 3,4,5, & 6 chord progressions used anytime you play C6th blues & swing things. Big charts unfold showing you the single note pockets like maps of the fretboard.

As a follow-up to Part 1, songs like San Antonio Rose, and Sweet Georgia Brown, are dissected showing how to move the single note pockets around to improvise over the chord progressions. Find the melody in big fat chords, plus some nice fills with a singer. A fun course that will improve your C6th playing, but will influence your E9th playing as well.
