Hello,

KSEY radio in Seymour, Texas has begun streaming its broadcast on the Internet. They play almost exclusively traditional Country music and Western Swing.

They also run my program Legend Radio every evening until 5:00 in the morning. The beginning time will vary depending on the Rangers' games but should usually start no later than 7:00 p.m., Central time.

The web address is www.radioksey.com

The file is streamed in a .pls format. I had to change my file association to Real Player to get it to work on my machine.

I hope you all get a chance to listen.

Best,

Jim

Jim,

I just clicked on radioksey and got the 'page cannot be displayed' screen. I have Real Player installed, too.
I have HomeXP and plenty of RAM.

Mark at KSEY said he'd have to take the site down from time to time for the next week or so while he puts on the finishing touches. That may be why some are getting the error message.

I am getting both sides of the stereo signal on my machine. You might check the balance on your volume control. Let me know if that doesn't correct the problem and I'll pass it along to Mark.

Best,

Jim

I sure would like to hear this station but when I click on the listen now button, nothing happens. I play a U12 steel guitar and love western swing. I'll keep trying to get it. Thanks Larry

Thank everybody for listening!

This is my 6th year with the radio show and so far it has been a money-losing proposition.

I don't mind losing a little every month in order to bring good music to as many people as possible but I did get into the show with the idea of at least breaking even.

The show is currently running on about 18 stations, mostly in Central Texas. As well as the regular broadcasts, the show also runs seven days a week on KSEY via the Internet. KWKZ in Cape Girardeau, Missouri streams on the Internet as well (Saturday mornings). The Twangtown USA website runs one hour a month.

If you know of anyone with a business who would like to advertise on my program I would be most grateful. My rates are very affordable and you get all the stations and Internet broadcasts for one low price as well as the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to keep Country music (and the steel guitar) alive.

Thanks a million!

Jim

Jim,

As I said in an email to the website address, I just wish more stations would play the real country western and western swing. I am getting a new company laptop, so hope it will have a better sound card in it, but this is great music.

Regards

Mike
