First, who wrote it?
Second, is a standard that we must know? A quick search shows just about every performer from an English quintet to Alison Krauss has performed it to include the Mandrell sisters, Sha Na Na, Roy Orbinson, and Ray.
Thanks in advance; _________________ Sherman L. Willden
It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act. |

The Browns, Jim Ed, Maxine, and Bonnie had a huge hit on the song. My favorite version. Jody. |

Jody,
That's the version I remember also.
I also like "Pop A Top" by the Browns, excellent steel work on that one. |

Posting this with a . I didn't mention the Browns because I assumed that their version of Les trois cloches is the one we all grew up with and would recognize. Thank you Berry for giving us the French information. There are some good youtube posts of the French version. _________________ Sherman L. Willden
