Got this old Gibson from a friend,she wants to sell it..found out it was a mid 1950s BR 6 look at the pics and tell me what its worth,also she has the original amp and volume pedal...Charlie.......

Looks like a BR6. They were made from the mid/late 40's until late 50's. Might even find one from 1960. This one is probably from the 50's sometime as the earlier ones had the knobs on opposite sides. There is a matching BR6 amp from the same era. There are several different versions of the BR6 amp.... so a picture would tell a lot. I haven't got a clue as to the real value... it would depend on the condition of the whole set. The prices for these things are all over the map right now, depending on who is trying to sell it.

Do a google search for Gibson BR6 to get some ideas.
