I recently bought a used BMI S-10 on E-Bay. It was cheap. so I was prepared for a mess. It was pretty bad but I took everything aprt, cleaned, polished and it looks and sounds great. (Has a BL 705). Still had a travel problem on the B pedal I couldn't figure out, so I emailed Dan at BMI. He responded right away, but the problem remained. Dan told me to call Don at BMI and speak to him directly, before I shipped it down there. He warned me Don is a busy guy and to keep trying if I didn't get him right away.
I finally got ahold of Don and he walked me through everything on the phone. This was on a used guitar no less and he still took the time to get me up and running.
Nice folks to deal with and stand by their product. I started with a red BMI S-10, 2&3 which I still have. Now my black S-10 3&4 plays smooth and sounds great. These are truly nice guitars, sound great and they're often available for reasonable money on the Forum. I'd love to try a new one one of these days.
Thanks to the boys at BMI for helping me out.

Hey Dave, I love my BMI also and it'll remain my number one guitar till I croak!. I bought mine used in Scotty's consignment room about twenty years ago. It was a S-12 Universal with 6 knee levers and 7 floor pedals but I took off one knee lever (RKL inside) and added another floor pedal. Mine stays in tune, plays easily and sounds great. I've played and tried out other guitars but this one is a perfect fit for me.......Here's a shot of it (taken at the 2009 Hardee's World Tour) It used to be black but I added the oak veneer strip and moulding piece on the front apron!

Dave,
Thanks for the kind words. We try our best to take care of all of our BMI family. We truly appreciate your kind words. Send me a picture of you behind the steel and I'll post it on the BMI site under the BMI family.
Jerry, I'm going to post you if that is ok. That sure is a pretty BMI and "BEING A TRAVELING MAN" I like the logo. No stronger bond than the square and compass.

Dan:
It was my pleasure and I'll get you a picture. The adjustments Don provided took care of the B pedal.
Jerry, nice guitar-the moulding on the apron is a nice look.
