Yes that's right! It's the Louisville Metro Hall of Fame Show on Sunday, October 9th at the Aamed Grotto in Fairdale, Kentucky.
It will run from 1:00pm until 6:00pm and will feature 3 Hall of Fame Members:
Billy Robinson
DeWitt "Scotty" Scott
Don Helms
along with:
Ron Elliott
Wayne Hobbs
Sharon Denny
Don E. Curtis
Ron Browning
Wimpy Osteen
I would imagine that Boogie Sherrad will be there and maybe Rob Parker? hint, hint. It should be a great time with a lot of steel and a lot of friends...Charlie Stepp, the Brummets, the Gold Dust Band and who knows...
From St. Louis take I64 East to I65 South to I265 West...
From Indy take I65 South to I265 West...
From Nashville take I65 North to I265 West...
From Cincy take I71 South to I265 West...
From Lexington take I64 North to I265 West...
Okay, I265 West is Gene Snyder Freeway (West) and take that to Exit 6 which is New Cut Road, turn left and go to the 1st Caution Light in Fairdale, the PRP Bank is on the right and a small Beauty Shop is on the left, the Aahmed Grotto is right behind the Beauty Shop.
If you get lost call Bob Callaway's Cell Phone at: 1-502-551-3873
Scotty and I will see you there!
Don

How far is Louisville from Charlie Stepp and E-town. This Illinois boy will be in the area that weekend. A trip to Scotland too, maybe.

No, Ron, Thank you. You too, Sonny. Are you going to Lincoln Days Rail Splitters in Hodgenville? I am.

Ron, You told me one time that Abe himself taught you to split rails. The first time I tried I did 8 rails in 15 minutes. I think my buddy Terry knew how to pick a good log.

I tell ya, you boys sure to make it tough for a girl like me. Mississippi, Nashville, Louisville... I'll do my best to make it on the 9th but I can't make any guarantees. With that line up it's going to be very hard to stay away!

Ron - I'm sure your set at the NTSGA was spectacular (as always). And if I don't see you on the 9th, I'll see on the 20th!

Lyle - if I make it, will you save me a seat?

Miss Lana

Yes I did and thank you very much!! That was very thoughtful of you.

I'm working out my schedule as best I can to make it down to Louisville. It's looking better so I'm hoping for no snags.

Yes indeed, Lana will be there, as will Don & Hazel Helms signing copies of his new book which just happens to be terrific! Don't miss an opportunity to meet this living legend!!!
I've got a double gig on Saturday and won't get any sleep but I'm looking forward to it. Plus my son and daughter in-law are coming too, I'm excited!
See you there!

Bump for the boys [and girls].
TWIMC: I am listed in the club newsletter as one of the players, but due to circumstances, I had to relinquish my spot to Wimpy O.

Ron E., Don E., I hate to miss you guys. I still may be able to be make the last portion of the show, so perhaps I'll get to see one of
you. Lots of fine talent.

I'm told Boogie has a prior commitment. Sorry.
