When I try to save something, all of the folders aren't listed although the complete list is there when I open bookmarks on the toobar. This is in Firefox. For now, I just save it and then drag it to the correct folder. Why is this happening? OS Win7.

thanks, Ron

For reasons I don't understand, bookmark handling remains in the Stone Age with no improvement in the last 15 years. Firefox is no better than Internet Explorer.

Here is all I know how to do in Firefox.

Go to the site you want to bookmark.

Choose "bookmark this page" from bookmarks menu.

A little window about the size of a cigarette pack opens.

Poke the dropdown arrow next to "bookmarks menu"

Select "choose" from the dropdown choices

Another slightly larger window opens, showing all your bookmark folders (I have probably a hundred holding about 4,000 bookmarks).

Navigate to the folder of your choice and highlight it.

Give the bookmark a sane and suitable name.

Click done.

The bookmark will be in the chosen folder.

Maybe I"m a dumbass, but that's the only way I know when you have many folders.

I do keep about 5 bookmarks on the bookmark toolbar for easy access. I think you can just drag a bookmark to it.
