anyone have or know where i can get a schematic for an Evans E200 head?
my reverb has been cutting in and out. If i banged the head, it would make that huge crashing noise and come back on. Now it still makes the crashing noise but wont come back on. Its impossible to get to the tank without removing the amps chassis from the head cabinet. I cannot even unplug the rca cables to test a new set without dismantling the amp. tank is accutronics. as long as i have to have the amp open, I mght as well have the schem if possible.
any help with the schem or ideas on how to troubleshoot the reverb would be appreciated.
thanks

Probably replace the tank? My AE200 failed after a while... a short while. |

Phew!
They mount that tank right onto the baffle with NO padding and no bag. Mine is a head version and it gets moved around quite a bit so I guess its not surprising that that tank would get jolted around and eventually fail.
got a gig thursday whihc I'll play reverbless , then a two week break, which outta give me enough time to repair I hope. How do I tell if the tank is bad? or should I just go ahead and order another tank right now? |

Hey Ben
I had the same problem with my Evans and I
went to the Holy Grail reverb pedal. I don't
want to be changing it again and I like the
sound of the pedal. |

You gotta be kidding me. If i read that correctly the accutronics is impossible to find and i cant use the peavey tank cause its a side mount tank in the evans?
Look at all these failed evans reverb tanks! Looks like we found a desgin flaw for them, lucky us. |

Okay, the reverb works again. Couldnt find the same model tank so i just bought one as close as i could get. At first it hummed, the Ken Fox informed me that the input jack needs to be as far away from the transformer as possible. Thanks Ken, I flipped the tank and the hum is gone.
Its a short three spring tank, and the hardwire rv7 and the fender tube reverb both sound a million times better than it. But at least its back to where it was. I prefer delay anyway. |
