It is with great sadness that we hear of Vic's passing. I had tried to get in touch with him a few months ago but without success. He was probably not in the best of health to write. He took it bad when Nancy passed away, I am told.
I remember Vic and Nancy with affection and my wife, Adriana, and I met up with them on a few occasions in Hawaii. They were kind enough to grant me copyright permission to record their tunes, " The Sound of the Islands", "The House Without a Key" and " I Lanikai" and were most keen and proud of their compositions. These tunes, recorded by many others, will forever remind us, along with their other tunes, of their contributions to the music of Hawaii.
With condolences to those they left behind,
Kay |

Naturally it was rough when he lost someone as unique and inspired as Nancy when she left him, but once Vic rebounded and able to get out to the clubs again he always had a babe at his side and was up for fun.
Eventually he just got too old and knew the fun was over, choosing not to do the basic things that might have kept him existing a bit longer, simply wanting to get on with the next chapter asap.
He was great. |

I remember Vic and Nancy very well, but haven't been there in recent years to see them. |
