Yep, I took my GFI keyless to a jam over in Gastonia NC yesterday. Sounded pretty good if I do say so myself.![Mr. Green](images/smiles/icon_mrgreen.gif) |

There were a couple of people that had never seen anybody playing keyless before, so I let them play my keyless and after that they were fine with it. |

The best thing about playing a keyless guitar is that when someone asks you what key the song is in...you tell them it doesn't matter because the guitar is keyless
I play a sans keys Sierra 12...which makes me keyless, clueless, and locked out of the house!!! |

I now have two keyless GFIs, a S12 & finally a D10 again. Never shoulda sold that old Zum back in 2000. Now if I can just get so I can play again.......no more cancer, so I need to get with it.....not working a day gig anymore either.....no excuse for not practicing. Just put an extended E9th on the S12 for my son when he's ready to try it. He's finishing his PHD @ USC in LA right now.......no time to try steelin'. He has a starter he bought on my recomendation (just because it had 4 KLs & I had never seen one??) and a Fender/ShoBud
student model(only 1 KL)I bought him a couple years ago. He plays cello & regular guitar and gigs around the area with friends. |

I had just the opposite here in the Cleveland/Akron area in the Eighties! If you showed up with a keyed guitar, everybody looked at you weird! Kline country! |

Doug, that's great news. Now you need to practice up and teach Bobbe a few licks. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Hi Joe.....Bobbe has taught me much more than I ever taught him! Passed on stuff he learned from those great Texas steelers! He showed me putting the F on string 8 when I was playing a Fender 400 & wondering how they were getting the fine jazz chords. 4 pick grips! like Shearing piano? I loved it! Gotta practice like that again......man it took me 6 months to get used to that "extra" finger pick? That was before I had met Reese & Bud Carter. They is pickers! |
