Price drop on the Carter to 600.00. I played it and it plays great, No issues that I could see. It was bought to learn on, was played very little. Has a tote bag with it. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

The Gibson is some kind of Electraharp--a Console Grande is a double-neck or (rarely, 17 total) triple-neck non-pedal steel. _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |

Bill:
That is a Gibson Electroharp. I owned one of these in about 1958 and played it for about a year. The lowering mechanism was not good and required that several "stops" adjustments be activated on each adjustment bar to prevent lowering any strings except the one(s) you wanted.
This had to be done on each pedal if you lowered any string. I came up with a simple addition of a stationary bar across the mechanism with stops on each string that prevented it from being lowered if it was not in the copedent. This eliminated stops required on each pedal adjustment bar if the string was NOT going to be lowered. I got a letter from Gibson thanking me and saying the change had been added to the production line. And they sent me a large box of bare strings of all sizes with no ID for the gauges as their appreciation for the change!!! I promptly threw the whole box in the garbage and sold the guitar with the change installed. The pictures show that your guitar was made BEFORE this change was made. But it can be easily added if you have the tools. The guitar and pedals did play well and it had a great tone. |

I played one of these years ago for a while. Tuned it to D9. Like strings 8 to 1 on a 10 string. The original use for this steel was to change the tuning with one pedal. Theorticaly having a quad guitar on one neck. Don D |

Hi Bill, Any interest at all in the Gibson Electra Harp? I have a 6 string MultiKord w/ 6 pedals I've been trying to sell for about 6 years? If'n I could get $300 for it, today, I wouldn't come close to what is tied up in it. This was just to help a new guy. Guess "I'm Stuck Wid Ya Baby" Take care, Jay Y. |

Thanks Jay, As I said I'm selling for a friend. He did say the other day he would take 1000.00 for it. I have no interest in it. I know it would have to be a collector to buy. I've already gave up on selling it.
