Guitars & Chevrolets?
But...what's to tab out? There's no steel on the track, or any fancy steel licks to pick out.
If you want the vocal melody, you're probably better off just figuring it out on your own.

It's Guitars & Cadillacs, and there is certainly steel on the track on my Itunes...

There is a live version of "Guitars, Cadillacs" with JayDee. However, IMHO that is one song that really didn't need steel... what with Pete Anderson playing and all.

And Skip is right... that's a '57 Chevy fin.

I've never heard a version of "Guitars and Cadillacs" with steel. I was hoping someone might have a pedal steel take on the intro.

But, yeah. Anytime Pete Anderson is playing you never NEED any other leads. But, it would have been great to hear him trade licks with a good steel player more often.

Dwight Yoakam is without a doubt one of the best country singer-songwriters since the 60s, IMO. So, it would have been nice if he'd used steel more. But, Pete Anderson often makes me forget for a moment that steel even exists!

We play that tune all the time with the Sh*tkickers. They just make me do the fiddle part in the second part of the second lead break. I like steel better than the fiddle for it, or anything for that matter...

I'm pretty sure all the steel parts on G&C were done with a Parsons White string bender on a Tele.

No Parsons/White on that track...trust me on that one.
It's a straight-up Tele.

Skip, you would know. I've always been a fan of Pete Anderson's playing and tone, although I miss hearing him playing through his Deluxe Reverb.
