Jay Dee, I was at the show in Petaluma a couple months back - I loved every minute!
There wasn't any "rust" - it was like you guys just got right back on a bicycle after barely riding for some time.
I also saw the show at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in 2008, one of the finest sets of the weekend which is really saying something because the level of quality of the acts has built that festival into one of the best in the world. 
And along with of course enjoying Jay Dee's playing, John Jorgenson just blows me away!

I like the west coast sound of Jay Dee. He is definitely a SUPERDYNAWHOPPIN"MOJOGREAT player. I wish those guys would come to La. And I don't mean California.Tommy Shown
