Gerry has been nominated and accepted into the European Steel Guitar Hall of Fame 2010.

I am so pleased as he has done much to promote the instrument and its players over the years, in addition to being a very fine player.

I met Gerry I'll think 30 years ago on a Steelconvention here in Holland. This little town called Oudewater. It was orginized from Hans de Jong. Many players such as Koos Biel, Herby Wallace, Larry Sasser, Lloyd Green, Jimmy Crawford and a lot of other players where there. So Gerry is still playing and do a lot of good work for the music and steel business. Also he did a lot of steelconventions in England. So Gerry you do deserved it.

Congrets my friend,

See you in Ireland and I hope you will be able to back me up.

Thanks, once again, chaps! Marcel, the staff band at Bettystown last year was excellent! With Jimmy Smith playing guitar for you, you certainly don't need my rusty licks! Laughing Seriously, you'll love his playing. Very Happy Thanks for asking, though! Smile
