Hey if you guys dont mind,,, will you tell me what you guys think about this speaker as far as how it would sound in a Fender Super Champ xd ?
i need more headroom, low end tone... nice warm tone but still have the smooth crisp high end ...ect... I hope I am making since here ...see i love the lil SCxd but you just cant get enough low end with the 10 inch speaker ... so i had a speaker cab built that would hold a 15 ... Description below of a 15 i was thinking bout buying ...
Thanks Y'all ...

I can't comment on that particular speaker, but I love the sound of a 15", especially for steel guitar. |

Wow Jason...you look a lot like Jerry Garcia!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've played out of a Twin w 2-12" JBL's ...and one w/a 15" JBL...the 15" speaker sounds better if you play a lot of C6.....other wise...My Nash 112 has always sounded good to me for the last 4 years..but now I am back to a Session 400 w/1501.For Peavey's..It My best sound. All in all.... a fender Twin w/ 15"JBL is The best tone I ever heard...especially with a p/p...or My Mullen.

fwiw, Here at the house I run my practice amp thru a 15" cab and it makes an incredible tonal difference.
I would think that speaker would be fine, but not power-rated high enough if you plan to use the cab with say a 200W-300W steel amp.
As always, try before you buy (if you can). |

The Super Champ XD is a cool little amp. With 15 watts I can't see you needing anything more than the Eminence. I would think you would get a huge increase in low end. You may loose some sparkle & bite on top however. Depending on how effective the tone controls are on the SCxd, you might be able to get it back.
I have to say however I am not a big fan of Eminence Speakers. For the price it is probably good for your project. _________________ On man....let the smoke out of another one. |

The best amp I have ever owned, and still do today. is a peavey bandit special 150 watts. Its the solo series, way before the trans tube crap.I like a 15 for steel, but the old peavey speakers are remarkable.I use a 2 12 combo peavey for steel, scorpion speakers most of the time but I also have a peavey half stack with 4 12s in it.I filled it with 12"scorpions and use a 400 pa head to run it.Great reverb.I also have a speaker cab with 2 12" emminence legends sitting in the corner. _________________ Gibson Les Paul
