I am confused AGAIN,which is nothing unusual.
I would like to have a couple of valves(spares)in My tool kit.
When I look for valves I get info telling Me that certain valves with different identification numbers are the same spec.Is there a table or list of ID numbers and their compatible replacements.
I also note the price difference in similar valves which can range from about $20 to $130 for one valve.
I am looking for spares for My Tonic pre amp
One valve is an ECC 83, the other is an ECC 802S
Any reccomendations would be appreciated.
Best regards
Billy

Billy
Valves are 'tubes' in the USA. Laughing

If you go to Watford Valves web site http://www.watfordvalves.com/home.asp you will find everything you need to know.
