I believe Lyle Lovette is on the tonight show tonight. Perhaps a chance to hear some steel from Mr. Reid. John

Yeah, last night. I agonized over whether to watch that one or Letterman. I wanted to see Mike Johnson since I had seen Buck Reid with Lyle fairly recently, so I skipped the Large Band for Letterman...Jimmy Webb and Mike Johnson....sorry Buck.
It was a painful decision, but I haven't seen Mike on tv in a long, long time. Too bad they were on at the same portion of each show. PIP woulda come in really handy last nite

It opens with a nice big shot of Buck and his JCH, not much steel otherwise, but a nice spot nonetheless. So I get to see both of them after all thanks to the internet. 
A pretty good night of exposure for the steel guitar.  |
