The Clinesmith is due next month, so it's time to pass this one along. It came to me with a brown poly finish brushed on, and I was unable to save the original finish. Refinished to the original color using Reranch transparent blonde; I stopped the final polishing at 1200 grit because I thought a slight satin finish was a better look for an instrument of this age.

The tweed case is held together on the hinge side only by the lining, so I purchased a wheeled case that worked out really well. The T8 fits nicely with enough room at the end for a volume pedal; I had a D2F leg bag and pad made for it.

The original tweed case is available for the cost to ship it, if you are interested in repairing it.

$1400 plus shipping, add 3% for paypal.

Lynn, you did a nice job restoring that guitar. Good luck with your sale and with your Clinesmith.

Would you consider a trade on the Fender?

I've tried my hand at some refinishing, yours looks like a top notch job. Nice work.

The case is a Gator GK-49 and is widely available here. I know they are also distributed in Europe, so you should be able to find a local source.

Really a very nice case: thick padding, rigid frame, thick padded straps to hold the instrument in place, and best of all--wheels!

Here are some pics of the original tweed case. The wood that supports the upper part of the hinges has deteriorated and needs to be patched before the hinges can be reattached.
