I'm very happy to relay that I'll soon be starting a new job with The Marcus Lindsey Band here in the DFW area. My first gig with them will be, I think, the 13th of August at Boots & Saddles near Seagoville, TX (if I have the schedule correct).

I'd like to express my sincerest thanks to David Alexander, David Kurrasch, Danny Naccarato, Bob Vantine and anyone else who recommended me for the job. I'm deeply grateful for your recommendations and referrals.

After more than a year on unemployment, it's going to feel so good to be working again ... doubly so since it's a music job. Smile I've had some delightful conversations with Marcus Lindsey and David Alexander and I know already this is going to be a fun gig to play with a very good song lineup and a great bunch of players to work with. Very Happy

Now I'm off to spend some serious time on my steel. Lots of good material to rehearse over the next three weeks to get all my parts ready. Thanks again, guys, I sincerely appreciate everything. Smile

-----------------------

To Jim Smith and Greg Wisecup: I was going to reply to your posts in the job listing, but the thread was already closed, so I'll say it here ... thanks sincerely for your kind words. I sincerely appreciate it. Smile

Thanks, everyone, for all the congrats. Very Happy I really appreciate it and I'm very excited about this gig. Oh man, it's going to feel so good to be playing on stage again. Until I did a substitute gig a couple of months back with The Jay Michaels Band, I didn't realize how much I missed playing in a live band.

Now, I'm off to go over some more tunes. I haven't had this much fun rehearsing in a very long time! Very Happy
