I am currently an undergraduate student at Penn State University. I joined a folk oriented band last fall and took up playing lap steel in it. This spring my band opened for British folk writer Bobby Long. He liked our playing and asked us to be his supporting band on Tour. Here is a clip from our show at the Troubadour on 7/9/2010. The song is called the Borough Mill. I try using a volume pedal to emulate pedal steel type style. I've only been playing for a few months. What do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EcHTsXQcq4

Ryland, I think your playing supports the song very well. Good singer, good band!

Thanks, I think the music lends itself to a more reserved style, but its not that I could get really flashy yet anyways Laughing.
