Here's a few pics of my #2 build i've been working on the last few months, got it all back together today except for the pickup,rest pad,fretboard and strings, the guitar came out pretty good. Very Happy

Awesome look. (Any pics of the fret board?) under the skirt looks just as good. I Love the wood and finish choices. A very nice looking 4&5

Thanks all for the compliments, Here's the guitar with the fretboard Smile , i'll post some more once i have the resting pad install...i'm still looking for some burgandy or wine,mahogany leather color for the pad.

Hi Roger,

first i found it kind of useless to have it full lenght on wood top plate cause you don't play the bar that far anyway, but the main reason was that it has a nice wood grain pattern on that end of the guitar and thought it would look nicer to show it, on guitars covered with mica i might put it full lenght.

Pat, about the pad, You are thinking along the same lines as me. I did my last 2 steels exactly like that. My thinking behind it was - why cover up exquisite wood with vinyl or whatever? - It only makes sense to me, so the next one will be like that as well. Maybe we've started a trend eh, Pat? Your work on that pad is out of this world by the way. Pro all the way!

That idea has merit, I guess I'm just not used to seeing it done that way. It does look a little out of balance, though. That is a beautiful guitar.
