Squareneck lapsteel is a smaller body parlor style Oahu.

S/N 2337.

MIchael Lee Allen posted a series of Oahu steel catalogs and literature which will have your model. Most student model Oahu steel guitars were built by one of the big three Chicago manufacturers (Kay, Harmony or Valco).

As John said, without more information and photos, it's impossible to tell what you have.

Recently purchased and curious as to year most likely built. Serial Number is 2337.

I've got serial number 0121 that was given to a student on January 28th, 1941. That may help you start to narrow down the manufacture date on yours.
