Bob, I think the last time I saw Billy on TV, he didn't have a steel in the band. Paul Franklin plays on his records, though.

I don't think Billy has had a steel player in his road band since I played with him a little back in 2003 when he was just getting going. I think it was 2003? |

I played a few shows with Billy at the end of 2008 on steel and dobro. Doug Collins, one of his guitar players, plays some lapsteel, but Billy doesn't carry a pedal steel player. |
