Hey Folks,
So, I just bought a Pro Fex II to help with my tone on my NV112. It has the battery-less mod as well as Jeff Newman's presets. I've had it about a month and it was working great until about 2 weeks ago (the week after I finished paying for it of course). Since then it's normally been working fine for about a 45 minute set and a half before giving me trouble. It's doing a lot of different strange things off and on:
1. constantly clipping (even when I unplug all cables and turn down levels)
2. powering up but not making it past the home screen
3. powering off if I touch the power cable (I've tried tightening and loosening the screws that hold in the AC input and both have have solved this problem briefly)
4. giving me this message:
5. giving me a message about reloading memory (couldn't get a picture of that; it went away very quickly.)
6. and, finally being powered up and looking as though it should be working, but not giving any output.
The previous owner said he never had any issues with it. Any ideas? _________________ S-10 Carter. Peavey Nashville 112.

Open the cover and see if it still has a battery. If so I would guess it has leaked acid. If not you may have a bad audio RAM chip (there are 4 of them) |

All you can do at this point is reinitialize it. Hold down "PLAY" and "GLOBAL" and then apply power. If that does not fix it then it is time to send it to Peavey for further repairs. |
