David,,those old Buds had a great tone! The pedals are set quite close to the middle of the guitar..Is it a single neck?...I can't tell from the pic..

Judging from the black endplates, the Baldwin sticker, and the centered pedals, my guess would be this started life as a D-10 crossover model....David, does it have a small hole through the rear apron?

This guitar started life as a Baldwin Crossover.D10.It has a pad and what looks to be an LDG undercarriage ( judging by pics I have seen of the LDG.) It is rack and barrel. The holes in the back apron have been filled by a plastic plug... Did they originally have the dark fret board.? I was thinking about putting the white one on it.

Yes. By this time black fret-boards had been in use for a several years. My '59 Perm has black fret-boards, as does my '63 Fingertip. It appears to be a early Crossover model. It has a wood wrap-around changer, as does my '67 S-10. The style /type of body woods and inlay strip also indicate an early one. Maybe late '66, early '67? That would be my guess, without seeing the original mechanical parts. I'm not sure when they hooked up with Baldwin, but my '67 has the same decal but in black. Mine came with a black fret-board but is blond Maple.

Congrats on the guitar, David. Looks beautiful, and I'm sure it sounds gorgeous! Those old Buds are pure sonic works of art!!
