This song was originally put out by Billy Jack Wills back in the late 40's or early 50's. I believe Vance Terry played Steel. Buddy also put out a Bob Wills Tribuute Album where he sang several of the songs. I think it was sometime in the 70*s.

Does E's talent have any limits? Apparently not.

A great voice and style in all areas AND he makes it look effortless!

Is the guitar player going through some kind of effect for his solo at 1:06 and again for fills around 2:02?
Maybe one of those old Korg 911 Guitar Synthesizer units?

Like everything else the big guy did, "Buddy Emmons sings Bob Wills" is a great album.

That's the late Phil Baugh on guitar. Almost sounds like an octave divider, but definitely some effect. He also has linkage on the guitar with pedals to raise and lower each string a la psg, although he's not using them on this tune. I love how this song goes to a major 2 chord, but never to the 4 or 5.
I've heard the Buddy sings Bob Wills album and the man can definitely sing.

Have to agree with Hook, that's an all-time classic album. My absolute favorite track is "Bottle Baby Boogie". If you don't have it, go get it!
